To celebrate their partnership with the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships as their Official Timing Partner, luxury German watch manufacturer Junghans have announced the release of this stunning Junghans 1972 FIT Edition Automatic watch. Limited to only 500 pieces, the sporty piece encapsulates all that is fascinating about winter sport including a red and blue coloured dial to represent the events logo and a finely engraved screw down case back similarly detailed in the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships emblem.

Dressed in solid stainless steel, the Junghans 1972 FIS Automatic Limited Edition watch measures to 46.9mm in diameter and is fitted with a screw down crown with protection that has been carefully shaped to pair with the rest of the athletic silhouette of the timepiece. For additional durability, the case is paired with scratch resistant sapphire crystal glass with anti-reflective coating on both sides, a solid stainless steel bracelet and a water resistant rating of 300 metres. The sports-inspired dial becomes the focal point of the Junghans 1972 FIS watch adorned with a snow white backdrop and a blue and red inner ring, rotatable to both sides, for displaying  the second time zone function. Powering the second time zone and the hours, minutes, seconds and date function is the Calibre J830 automatic winding movement which boasts a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and a power reserve of 48 hours. The Junghans 1972 FIS Automatic Limited Edition also houses a 3-point shock absorber based on the classic archetypal Trilastic to guarantee effective protection of the reserved self-winding movement.
